Hi Louis, All the best wishes to you and your family, apparently there were fireworks here too but alas I didn't see them, done a twelve and half hour shift in work yesterday and it was too busy to have a break so afraid went out without having eaten so drank on an empty stomach not a good idea, won't do that again but it was a great night, didn't realise I got home at 3am, no wonder I overslept, time flies when your having fun.

Hi to all. While not wishing to put a damper on everybodys celebrations I for one will not be sorry to see th end of 2009. Some of you may remember that on Jan 1st 2009 I buried my son Liam. On the last day of 2009 my wife suffered a stroke. Yesterday. This is one year that I will never forget for the rest of my life, even if it is for all the wrong reasons. Can 2010 be any worse? Even so, I would like to thank all the members of this site for all the pleasure I recieved from reading all the posts, even if I am not a Curragh Native. A special word of thanks to Tommy Hetherington for a most memorable day during the "summer" when I was treated to a tour of the camp. I would like to wish all members of the site a very happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year and keep the posts coming. Hi Drylander I know that we all have our cross in life to bear but you are bearing more then most, will light a penny candle for your wife recovery and intentions Andy

Hi all. Many thanks for your good wishes and support. Try as I might I don't think that I will ever look forward to Christmas ever again. As a matter of interest, my wife has made some improvement and seems to have escaped the worst of what could have happened. Again, thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
