Hi Andy, I make a new year resolution every year and every year I break it before the day is done. Can't think of anything for this year, I suppose I could give up alcohol but that would be a sin, so will have to forget about it again this year.

Hi Andy, It is a good idea for members new and old to get together in the Curragh, you can then put faces to names, and you will have so much to talk about, there is not enough hours in the day, when I met up with the Morden Platoon, seeing faces I hadn't seen for many years, but all looked familiar, and we talked and talked, the hours just flew by, and the stories we all told, I also found it amusing that people done the same things I done as a kid that you think "only you done that". I bet you, if you form your platoon there will be so many turn up, please take photos and put on site. I'm looking forward to the next meet with the Morden Platoon, and hopefully many more will turn up.
Cheers Mary C

Hi Andy, The racing was just a little way down from the bookies, behind 4 houses I think, but it was called Brennans, Liam Brennan was the trainer, all the Hughes worked there, Paul, Ciaran, Blondie and Finbar and then there was me, got no end of stick, I know Liam Brennan sold it so maybe it then became the Birdwatch.

Hi Andy. Indeed I do remember that house you asked about. It was called Rossa House. Before Col Prendergast lived there it was occupied by a Col Bunworth, it was built of wood with the only exception of the roof which was made of corrougated iron sheeting. it also had a south facing wooden verandah going right around to the front of the house. It also had three lovely apple trees, maybe that is why I know so much about it. It sadly did burn down.

Hi Andy It is a strong possibility that that was the name of the house in it's originality. Col Bunworth had a son called Rossa, and he propably altered it to suit the day. In respect of the Radio it wasn't me honest. Have to rush Andy "the tea bags are blowing off the line". Some wind out there tonight. Regards Joey K
