HI ALL. WE WENT TO CYPRUS WITH U N V, ON THE 20TH SEPT 2008 WE HAD A GREAT TIME OUT THERE. HAVE LOTS OF PHOTOS, MY HUSBAND THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT TO SEE IT AFTER 41 YEARS. HE IS GOING UP TO THE CURRAGH ON SUNDAY THERE IS SOMETHING ON UP THERE, MASS I THINK. HAVE LOTS OF PHOTO'S OF CYPRUS LAYING REATS

The following photographs were sent to me by Wally Tobin and show the Armoured Car Group in Cyprus. Hard gong but as you can see they even managed to find a beach in Cyprus Matt

Re:UN CYPRUS 1960 Hi Shergar The picture on display appears to be of the Ordnance section which would have been stationed in Zeros in Northern cyprus in 1969/1970 it was with the 13th Infantry Group and they switched to Larnaca in 1970 exchanging with the Finnish Battallion, the officer in the photo is Capt oSULLIVAN the sgt on his right were stationed in the Magazine in the Curragh. most of the faces are familar but as it is monday evening the fog over the grey matter has not lifted, i will make enquiries during the week and will be in touch, bye for now Johnny x 13 Inf GP, CYPRUS 1969 /1970

The top picture, Medal presentation is back to front. The cap badges are over the righ eye (French style ) Still a great photo
