Joined army ,June 1964 served 21years five trips over seas with un ,6inf gp 1966 19 inf gp 70 71 Cyprus ,1974 the Sinai 26 inf gp , The lebonan 1979 45batt and 1983 53batt .joined army in 2nd motor sqd Cathal brugha bks Went to 1st batt Galway 1965 after 10 years went 4th motor sqd longford retired 1985 , Was in the catering ,as a cook ,

dear sir can any one who is from Cyprus and is brittish by birth can they make a comment. If they were in the island during 1974 and the un soldiers helped them a lot.I want to ask some questions would it be possible. if some one was taken to pow camps in larnaca and food was given them was not healthy and the un trucks came to Turkish sector of larnaca and took food from civilians in baskets to the greek sector of larnaca is there any photo of that or any thing similar I will be very happy as some people is making up stories that is not true .UN soldiers as I remember took food from public near the castle of larnaca in trucks and individualy and took the cooked food to the camp .If theres a photo of while food was taken from us I will be very happy. many thanks.
