Eldest son of the late Frank and Peg. Deeply regretted by his sister Judy, brothers Dave and Billy.
Paul an accomplished Swimmer not only represented The Curragh in swimming but he also went on to compete at the National Swimming Championship where he won a number of senior titles. As mentioned elsewhere on the forum Paul was one of the finest sportsmen to represent The Curragh Camp.
May Paul Rest In Peace.

My sincere condolences on the death of your brother Paul. I knew Paul well and was in class with him.I was a member of the Curragh Swimming club, an average swimmer. The guy held in awe by the club was Paul Hyland, he was outstanding. A dedicated and commited athlete who did the Curragh proud on the national stage. Rest in peace. Gaul

Billy it is with great sadness that i heard of the sudden passing of your elder brother Paul, may He rest in peace. it is true what you said of your brother, and it is in great fondness to remember of how Great a swimmer He was, in his prime He had no equal and i remember the dedication that he had for his sport, not alone was he champion of Ireland, but as a young chap he represented his country with esteem, correct me if I am wrong but did He NOT WIN GOLD in the Catholic youth games in Barcelona, I can still picture him doing lap after lap legs only as we mere tadpoles tried to keep up with him, and there is manys the swimmer that He took the courtesy and the time to give help and advice to in their training My deepest condolences on the sad passing of a true legend from the Curragh Johnny (sharkey)Kelly

Thanks to all for their kind words and expressions of sympathy on Paul's untimely passing and especially to those who attended the interment, it was very much appreciated.
