Looking at the picture I would be grateful if anyone knows what Platoon it was, as I passed out the same year 1967 with the 8th Pln. Sgt Michael Prendergast was Pln Sgt. Lt Pearsons was Pln Offr. Thanks !!!
CQMs John Healy, yes that was the 8th Pln.passing out day mid December 1967.That was a Guard of Honor for QM General in front of The Water Tower before we did our Parade. Our Pln. Sarg. was Greg Price seen on right of photo and standing front and centre of Guard of Honor is our beloved Forum Veteran Mr. Andy Brennan. What a fine figure of a man.Regards to all and again..best wishes to all for New Year. Charlie.
Charlie Brown from somewhere in Norn Iron (Best recruit)? - Man beside sgt Price is the late Billy Barry RIP. Billy was one of about 5 exers who rejoined and were in our Pl.If I'm not mistaken (or thinking whishfully) that's me 9th from right. Lovely blast from the (very distant) past!
Well Hello Joe Hassett. Long time no hear. That indeed is your youthful self 9th from right. A little along is myself and our beloved Forum Veteran Andy Brennan. Well I remember you from those fun packed days. I'm not from just somewhere in Norn Iron but The City of Culture, as good Pal Andy will confirm as I had the pleasure of his company just last weekend for a visit up here. Came across Andy on this Forum a couple of years ago and we have been it touch since. If you remember me, you will remember Andy. Hope to hear from you again. Best wishes. Charlie.
Hi there. I know this is a 'cheeky' request but I am wondering if anyone would have any photographs including my brother Joseph Moorehouse who served in the Curragh late 60's/70's? I think he served in Cyprus at one time.It would be great to see any photo' including him in group on your pages. Many thanks for all the interesting info and discussions
