To Kentgal. I was sorry to hear of Fuddy Heffernans pasing. I met him once or twice when i lived in London. He beleive it or not got on a Number 91 Bus which i used to drive. I gave him a shock when i said to him Hi Fuddy he could not beleive that in all of London that a voice from the past and from the Curragh Camp would be driving the said vehicle. One of Fuddys claim to fame as you all know was his Rod Stewart act he used it well so much so that he made a local paper in a place called Muswell Hill for visiting a Royal British Legion Club and getting free drinks all day for him and his partner all the time he was there fair dues to him . Thinking about it the Curragh Camp has thrown up some great people in its time. Cheers for now Curraghlad.

Poor Fuddy & so young too. His act did indeed serve him well even in the US. What a sad & small world it is today from when the 'once in a blue' trip (by CIE from Powells) to Dublin was something to be planned for, more than the nowadays round the globe trot. Also many of the lads who trained in Curragh Transport -Plunket Bks? made their careers driving London busses and indeed Horse drawn carriages in New Yorks Central Park today. Including some old friends.

Very sad moment, during my years at Primary School, he was a good mate of mine. He was a great personality and a very genuine guy, he will no doubt be missed by his family and close friends.

Hi to all Fuddy's family and friends,
Fuddy and me were such great friends when we were young living in McDonagh, (we shared the same Marian year name). I met up with him and Sheila in Epsom at the stables where he worked in the 70's. Loved all his family.

Deeply sorry to belatedly hear of Fuddy's passing. His name evokes the sound of shrieks and splashes as we hit the water in the swimming pool and the sound of Tommy Cullen's warnings that we were barred if we jumped off the benches again. And the taste and feel of chlorine in the mouth and eyes..and the whistle blast that said get out and the towel fights..

I know that this is many years past his much too young in age and in heart... He visited me for about f weeks In the US. Best time I've ever had. He made everyday wonderful. I remember my Dad was getting ready to use the rider mower to cut the grass. When Fuddy stepped up and said can I use that, never had before....Well, he got on and he was like a child in a candy store! His expression was priceless.........I loved him and will miss him........I will always remember ever second he was here. God Bless him $ Angel Face
