Hi Mary F. You got the first part right about the Sister who was younger than her been a Nun . You could say her Dad would provide items if soldiers were to swan down a cat walk . The lady in question was born under the shadow and just thinking she would be at least 70 now. Cheers ;D Lt Col Ant

Hi Anthony, Now you've got to admit that I put forward some very valid answers to your evasive clues, even though I was totally on the wrong track as usual. Would the name Quinn have any significance? thats just because you mentioned Kellys. Now what I'm doing is clutching at straws at the moment so Andy, Joey, Johnny and Rose and anyone else from Plunket we really need your imput on this. The Lt Col is playing a game with us lets rise to the challenge and win. MaryF

Hi Joey, My point exactly Joey I think you are related, when Anthony referred to kelly mostly coming first I thought of your forum name kellquinn, and that your lovely wife Kelly was once a Quinn. Don't know if thats any help but I'll leave it to your good self to carry on the investigation!! MaryF

Hi Anthony,
Was her dad Peter McGlynn? Dont't know if Marie Quinn will be too happy with Joey, given the clue about the ladies age, keep your head down Joey.

Hi All,
Bridget Cronin became a Nun as did Cecilia Cadogan, its not Bridget as she had no sisters, and not Cecilia as her Dad was postmaster, the only other Curragh lady that I know who became a nun was sister of Breda O'Shea who of course was Breda McGlynn before she married. I remember her staying in McDonagh with Breda and Frank. Wonder was it Breda, to this day still a handsome woman. If you still look in Breda, hope your recovery is still going well. Long time no see.
Rose.

Hi Joey. Spot on i didnt know the young lady well but i knew her younger sister who went on to become a Nun i think. I knew her Dad BQMS Peter Quinn Manko well and went to the dances in Dublin many times in his car.I knew Hugh Coogan, SoS Connors,,Peter Dignam,Nicky Lynch. They used to work in a cafe called Con's when in Dublin and Con had a Son named Michael. The Cafe was on the corner of Moore Lane . I was just was reminded of this very well dressed glamorous and beautiful young Lady walking up the church when i read the posts on Easter Bonnets. I just used the name Kelly Quinn which i thought would be a good clue but never made the connection. Peter Dignam was in the Congo with me with the 37th Batt. Some of the lads who went to Dublin at the time Jimmy Leonard & Brother ,Willy Fitzpatrick Speedy Ellis,Paddy Whelan,Tom Kelly,Stacker Furlong & Brother,Charlie Roche,John Hogan,Silvester Finn, Cheers ;D Lt Col Ant.

Hi all I knew I Cracked it, My sister in law Cora was a novice Nun and due to ill health had to leave, her health recovered some years later, by the way the girl in question is not Seventy and indeed a long way from it. Perhaps she dressed in fashion that made her look older and was more with the fashion of the hollywood times. Regards JoeyK
