Hi Joey. Spot on i didnt know the young lady well but i knew her younger sister who went on to become a Nun i think. I knew her Dad BQMS Peter Quinn Manko well and went to the dances in Dublin many times in his car.I knew Hugh Coogan, SoS Connors,,Peter Dignam,Nicky Lynch. They used to work in a cafe called Con's when in Dublin and Con had a Son named Michael. The Cafe was on the corner of Moore Lane . I was just was reminded of this very well dressed glamorous and beautiful young Lady walking up the church when i read the posts on Easter Bonnets. I just used the name Kelly Quinn which i thought would be a good clue but never made the connection. Peter Dignam was in the Congo with me with the 37th Batt. Some of the lads who went to Dublin at the time Jimmy Leonard & Brother ,Willy Fitzpatrick Speedy Ellis,Paddy Whelan,Tom Kelly,Stacker Furlong & Brother,Charlie Roche,John Hogan,Silvester Finn, Cheers ;D Lt Col Ant.

I went on my ticket in 80 , 2 and a half years in the cav , I remember sos , stocky little guy , sylvester finn was still driving in the late 90s I met him in bricins , where George Sweeney was a resident , in 78 us young lads looked up to George.syls brother Nicky was some musician , many a session in connolly canteen . Sands was the center of our lives in 78 79 , mug of tea , two slices of bread and a packet of crisps and an hour on a table with a bokety cue , looking back it was perfect. I served 3years between the 30th bn and the depot cav . Rejoined in 84 as part of an exer platoon and done 18 in the brugha.
