Hi All,
How much snow are you forecasted to have over the next couple of days. In Buckinghamshire we are forecasted to have 16" over two days - that will be more that I've seen in my lifetime after living 'down under' for many years. My fridge/freezer is stocked up in case we can't get down to the village shops. Have a good few books to read so should be alright.
Do you all remember when we had snow in the Curragh - what fun we had.
Make sure you all take care when out walking and keep your driving down to the miminum .
Kind regards.
Eileen

Hi Andy,
I do recall in 1981 whilst living in London that the snow was very heavy and that even the locks on our old car frooze!!
It's been snowing here now for just over a hour and it is becoming pretty heavy - I feel for people who are isolated in their homes and have no one to rely on to help out with shopping etc.

Hi Eileen and ALL The snow what snow what ye are having is what you call snow what we had was a little snow and then the big freeze and everything goes into shut down all could be solved with a bit of salt and the man power. and like Andy said its the old and homeless we feel sorry for. Eileen keep your freezer stocked because it looks like there's a lot more to come over there. GERALDINE

Hi All and Andy, Last message should have read I'll have to stay in the hospital tomorrow as won't be able to drive home but hopefully hospital will have us night staff stay in the hotel across the road, although you never know may have to do 24 hour shift if staff can't get to work.
Andy I hope I do get away on holiday, but if we get the amount of snow they are predicting the airport may be closed like it was before Christmas, best get those snow ploughs going. Mary C

hi all i was just remembering, the hill at the back of the priests house when we used to slide down in the snow, now days you would call it toboggan, wow how posh were we. the ma, would lend you the roasting tin, they would be about ten of you in it.but you would have to get it back before dinner time. i doubt if we were in the alps,we could not have had a better time. great fun. kathyo
