right all ye old sweats, Remember being issued with your wobbler and razor I think they drew blood from all users and no joy to young users with the dreaded ACNE one would think their puss was after going through a mincer, walking on to a parade with a face like a newspaper that many little bits of paper sealing the cuts/knicks to staunch the blood, I do remember one or two individuals who had the knack of shaving without a knick just using the blade on its own, Maxs Smile , Andy did'nt.

Hi Andy. Mac smile that fellow on the packet was two faced rough and smooth. The old sweats used to say to the young lads shur a rough towel would remove what hair you got on your chin or stick your head out the window and the wind will shave you .I also remember when ever they brought out a new blade which gave you the best shave ever it wouldn't be long before they had another which gave you an even better shave etc etc. I remember my grandad with the cut throat razor now that was a sight to behold i used to cringe at every stroke in case he cut himself. The faces he would make while shaving was great entertainment for a young lad.He would sharpen it on a glass globe or a leather strap. Cheers Anthony
