Hi All, I'm nearly sure my mum (R.I.P) and her sister Helen worked in Fuscardi's all those years ago. If my mind serves me right she use to bring us home some chocolate, what a treat.

Hi All,
Michael Mullins lived in Warrant Officers between Clarke and Ceannt, worked in Kingswear and also did Disc Jockey at the Tuesday night hops in Ceannt. He is still around living in Newbridge now.

Hi James, The Curragh Tech was the best, are you still living in England if so where abouts are you? I moved over here in 1985 long time ago, I now live in Surrey and love it here but never as much as home that being the Curragh not anywhere else. We moved to Kildare when I was 17 but it was nothing like the Curragh there will never be a place like that again.

Hi Rose, I remember the Tuesday night hop in ceannt, although I had to sneak out to them as my dad wouldn't let me go, but my mum always did, dad said I was too young to go to hops I wish that was so now many years ago. Time lies.
Cheers Mary C

Hi Everyone, After Fuscardi's there were other places we frequented in Newbridge, before and after the disco's/hops ,and who can forget the Keadeen. We all headed to The 'Talk of The Town just up from McLoughlins' garage. Great food I'm sure it was run by the Ryan family. Theres another place that I visited practically on a daily basis when I worked in McGoverns but for the life of me I can't remember the name and this worries me because I spent such a lot of my lunchtimes there.Brain malfunction again? This is where I need some of the older members imput please! the restaurant/teen hangout was situated up on Penney's side of the town nearly opposite McCabes Pub! It had a Jukebox and we spent so much money playing T;Rex,Fleetwood Mac, Sutherland Brothers and Quiver to name just a few. But I can't remember what it was called I hope someone out there can help me! and take me out of my misery its driving me crazy Bye for Now MaryF

Hi Joey, Thanks for the name of the restaurant 'Sizzling Hot' I used to go there for my lunch when I started working in Newbridge first and meet up with some other Curragh Kids [Tony Barry, John Reilly] either working or going to school there at the time. We had our own little click. Keep me posted when you remember the rest of the ex army lads who ran it along with Jim Grace. It was the in place to be in the early seventies for us young with it teens Shows how time changes everything, its a place if it still existed we'd now avoid like the plague as being to young ,to noisey for us yet I don't feel anywhere near as old as my birthday certificate says I am. Young Hearts Run Free eh? Bye for now MaryF
