,Hi Joe,
He sounds like a chap who used to work in kingsware he was always immaculately dressed. I can also remember going to fuscardis with my mother, (that was a treat in them years not like now)for years it was the only chip shop in newbridge. I am now living in London I we some times drive down to a place called box hill and on the way we pass a restaurant with the same name, it always brings back memories. mag

Hi Joe,Mag Ger and all, Fuscardis now you're talking, the frothy coffee delicious But their burgers in in batter [oh my god] what I wouldn't give for one no make that two of them right now It was the in place back then and everyone piled in there after the hops/discos had a great craic and no thought or need for bouncers on the doors either. The first time I saw [that bouncers on the doors the whole way down the town] when I was home on holidays I couldn't believe it Bye for now MaryF

Hi All Remembering Fusciardi's. The Knicker Bocker Glory, Sausage and Chips,Coffee,Batter burger and so on, Columbo, with her "vat you want"and seemed to know everyone by name. The Jukebox throwing out the strains of Elvis, Tom Jones,The Beatles and so on. Then the Bun Higgins, Cup of tea and a bun, mainly in there for the game of table football, no oil on the playing arms just plenty of spittle, tilting the table in your favour to get the ball rolling against your opponent, and then sometimes into Eddie O Connor's before the 1150pm Bus home, for a tanner's worth of Roasted Peanuts served in the brown paper bag. Ah! memories. The spiv you were talking about at the bus stop was Michael Mullins and did work in Kingswear, I meet him most days and he has not changed a bit. Must be the Yule of Oilee.
Regards to all Joey.
