Hi Ann. Listowel Co kerry been there many times as my Wife comes from Glin Co Limerick.She has also got some relations living at Blaine Bridge and just wondering if you ever visited the Aircraft museum at Foynes.Maureen O Hara who acted in the Quite Man with John Wayne her husband was a pilot and flew a plane from there .I think they used to called them flying Ships because they took of from the river Shannon. Hi Ann As far as I'm concerned age is only a number who cares its down to how young you feel inside.yes i know your daughter and jimmy,My father did look after the orchard he also had his little plot beside it for his chickens and all sorts i think the kids were more afraid of him than we were of Mr Costello when it came to the orchard.My gang think the same about me always being on this site its 1.30 now and I'm still on it will sign out now will never get up in the morning. Hi Anthony, I never went to the museum sorry to say, i always seemed to be doing other thing's, you are right they did call them flying ship,s. Are you from the Curragh i'm a Kilkenny girl married to a Kerry man i lived in the Curragh most of my life. I got to love kerry i cried for a while after moving there missed my friend's & family but i made good friend's there i keep in touch with them. Iloved John B Keane & Brian Mac Mahon. Hi Geraldine, I used to get the apples from your dad, many apple tart's were made in my house, your dad was very nice & friendly.Iget up early in the morning's, i alway's say ill have a lie in but never do always busy doing something i dont stay up as late as you Geraldine. cheer's Ann

Hi Ann. I'm from Wexford and was in the Curragh from 1961 to 1964 stationed in Plunkett Bk's.I have lived in London for nearly 45yrs.I'm sure you wont know me its just when you mentioned Listowel it was one of the places we visited nearly ever year.I know loads of Kerry lads whom i worked with over here . I used to clock up to 3000 miles on our visit to Ireland but i don't drive any more because of my failing sight. Cheers Anthony.

Hi Anthony, that's along time, my brother is in England nearly 40yrs.he went shortly after i got married,ill be married 40year's in March.It's terrible that you cant drive now.But it's great to be able to keep in touch with people on the site.Ionly heard about it a little while ago,i think he heard about it from Matt at work.
