hi Matt, In this photo are Cpl Delaney ? Sgt Murray Busty and Cagney the chap sitting re the ? is Bob Roberts he was the boiler man in the digger then, some of the older mob will remember him on his auto cycle, he lived in Maddenstown and all the kids were schooled in the Curragh He is Luke's dad Luke is in the fire station

By God Andy, Now there's a word! I haven't heard it used since Jas M died! Ye must be the same vintage! I'd give anything to hear him giving me a 'chowning' again! Thanks for the memory!

I not sure about the vintage, but many the chowning delivered back and forth between Jas and myself in Ceannt worked together for a spell.
I like Joey am awaiting the details of the lady knitter when you post same.
I also feel that we should pay more attention to our more senior citizens they have an awful lot to give.

The photo you were writing about was taken on Christmas Day 1970.Sgt Joe Murray long since hanging up his cap and gun is alive and well at the great age of 93 last month ,and living in Kilcullen
