Over the past 150 years many famous and well known people have visited The Curragh. The following is a few that I knew about, but I know there are many more. Please add to the list if you remember any more famous or well known visitors.
Prince of Wales (Later King Edward VII – Undergoing Military Training Curragh Camp 1861)
Queen Victoria (Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland - Visiting her son Albert Edward 1861)
General Michael Collins (Commander in-Chief Irish Army visited The Curragh, killed two days later at Beal-na-Blath August 1922)
German and British and other Allied Air Forces personnel (Guests at No.2 Internment Camp K-Lines The Curragh. 1940 – 1945)
Bing Crosby (American Singer and Actor- Played Golf on The Curragh in the 1960’s)
Seán Mac Stíofáin (IRA chief-of-staff – On Hunger Strike in The Curragh Military Hospital 1973)
Erskine Childers (President of Ireland – Visited the Curragh, large display on McDonagh Pitch 1973)
Frank Patterson (Renowned Irish Tenor – Guest Singer in the “Pearse Pageant” Musical in The Curragh gymnasium 1980)
Sgt. Michael Carruth (Soldier and Olympic Gold Medal Boxing Winner 1992 – Army Course Curragh gymnasium 1993)
Kofi Annan (Secretary-General of the United Nations – Visiting UN School, Military College - 1997)
Mary McAleese (President of Ireland – Visited the Curragh Camp in 2005)

Hi All. James Cagney, making the Film Shake Hands with the Devil.
Princess Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier around the 70s.
Robert Mitchum, when making a War film, filmed around Donnelly's Hollow Area.
Mel Gibson, when making Braveheart.
Roy Rogers, when his plane got into difficulties, landed around the area of No 2 Range.
