I don’t normally post requests like this, but when the murder of 17 year old Manuela Riedo, a Swiss girl occurred in Galway in 2007 while she was on a school exchange, sickened me. The fact that her murderer was released from prison early after serving five years for his involvement a fight in Galway City in which a man died. He was recently convicted with her murder and in back behind bars. But Mannela ‘s parents have to pick up the pieces and get on with the loss of their only child. They have recently set up the The Manuela Riedo Foundation in memory of their daughter, the aim of the foundation is to help and support rape victims and their families across Europe.

Anyhow all I ask is that if you have the time please visit the foundations web site and sign the Guestbook on behalf of the Irish people and show Mannela’s parents that the real Irish people are behind them and help them in the pain that they must be going through.
