Hi, I wonder if anone can help. Im trying to trace the marriage of John Collins & Rebecca Dennehy at Curragh Camp on 11/1/1874. I found a record on Find My Past which just gives the date and their names and two witnesses. It is not signed by them and does not appear to be a formal records. He was in the 27th regiment Inneskillings and obviously based at the camp around the time of marriage. I know he later was in Belfast. I have tried the Irish Archives in Dublin, The National Archives at Kew and the General records Office in England. No recrds were found. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas? Would there not have been a formal record to camp marriages does anyone know? He was orginally from Cork and she from Ballymalis in Kerry. Any info would be useful. Many thanks. Debbie

Hi Andy, yes i have found the record for Denis birth. I am still searching for a formal record though of the marriage. I seem to have exhausted all avenues. I wonder if marriages took place at that time without a formal record. Thanks for your help and if you ever find any info please let me know. Thankyou Debbie
