I knew Pauline from the days when Mono and myself and a couple of other lads used to hang out together way back. My late brother Paul and Pauline were good friends also. I, like many others attended the funeral on Wednesday which was heartbreaking for her family and all who knew Pauline.
When I looked at her picture on the leaflet in the church it immediately reminded me of Mrs Goff one of my all time favorite women from the Curragh in fact every time I attend a funeral I expect to see her. I got to know Pauline a bit better over the last few years through a common interest social care. I would meet her in various places in Athy and the Curragh when she was working and swap stories. The last time we spoke she remained positive and was truly an inspiration to someone like me.
Iam sure that the Goff family will become even more united now than they ever were in the past and that Pauline's memory will live on, in the grandchildren nieces and nephews we all saw Wednesday. Pauline I hope your having that well deserved rest now. God Bless
