Very proud of all members of Defence Forces Ireland ( one exemption being the officer on mobile with hand in pocket having a chat). Well turned out and well drilled and a great tribute to the men and women of 1916. Now, I do believe the RTE broadcast was bad. With "Arty" camera angles INTO the sun and long drawn out aerial shots they missed most of the Military Troops and vehicles pass the stand. Charlie004.

Charlie004.
I also enjoyed the turn out, drill and parading of the different parties, I also liked the camera work showing off so much of Dublin from the air

rumour has it that the poor officer caught with his hand in his pocket is now an acting FCA corporal of acting rank unpaid and is fire picquet commander on Rockall for his troubles. johnny

Further To your rumour Johnny1951, the said officer was interviewed for a ministerial position in next government some where in the future, but alas he failed the main test as he could only manage to keep his hand in his own pocket.
