Curragh Local History Group (CLHG) Reminder: the Christmas get together takes place at the clubroom (old bandhall opposite the post office) at 8pm tomorrow evening, Tuesday, 10 December 2013. If you have any old photographs please bring them along. Exchange reminiscences with former colleagues, friends and neighbours. There will be a wide selection of Christmas music in the background to create a festive mood. If you wish to bring along a few mince pies, chochies or whatever, feel free. Looking forward to a good turn out. Regards,
johnd

Hi All
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who turned out to support our first fundraiser for The Curragh Families Hospital Monument. The night was a great success and has got the monument fund raising off to a great start. I would also like to thank the people who supported the event by buying tickets, but unfortunately could not make it on the night.
I would also like to thank the people who sponsored the spot prizes on the night including Tesco’s of Kildare town, and T.C. Martin for his support with the Curragh Christmas Cards.
And finally I would like to thank the Families Hospital Monument committee who gave their time to organise the event.
Matt

Sorry to have missed this.
I have a few pennies in me piggy bank will hand over at next meet of Local History Group, unless I go on the tear over the Christmas.
