On behalf of my sister Maureen and family we would like to thank our friends and neighbours from the Curragh for their kind messages and support. Maureen said it was great that so many from the camp still remembered her and Michael.
Willie O'Brien.

I have noticed a Barbara Mullins on here, sending a message of sympathy Re:Michael Lacey (RIP).Would there be any connection between her and a Gerry Mullins (Oboeist in curragh band) during the 1960's? Curious Peader Tanham.

Willie I have just now logged into my Curragh History Messages and am saddened to read of the passing of Maureen's husband Michael. I didn't have the privilege of knowing Michael, but judging from the large no of sympathetic and complimentary posts, I can certainly conclude that Michael must have indeed, been a wonderful person. May he rest in peace. Maureen, please accept mine and my wives deepest sympathy at this distressing time. Our very best wishes to you and your family, for now and the future. Nick and Patricia Cunningham

Really sorry to hear of Micks' passing. Thinking of Maureen and family. Remembering the good times at the 1 shilling hop in Ceannt which was run by Mick and Charlie Martin in the 60s. Glad to see Willie (Maureen's brother) is still around also Nickey Cunningham. it was good to be part of the Curragh Community in the 60s and especially knowing Mick Lacey.
