The following aerial photographs are of a Parade of Troops and Vehicles on Plunkett Barracks Square in April 1973. A lot of the old buildings can be seen including Sandes Soldiers Home and the Internment Camp. Matt

Hello Matt McNamara What great photos of Plunkett Bks, really great pics which brought back many memories of my time there, I could even spot my old billet, in fact not much had changed when the photos were taken, where did you get the pics from? I am going to try and print them off, I hope it works for me as I am still learning to use this yoke!! thanks for putting them on display, Ex Tpr Kelly 1st Armd Sqdn 53/54/55,

nice snaps. why did they get rid of the old internment camp as shown in the second photo. its like a part of history is gone. what a shame. that would have brought huge tourists, now they can look at the hares and rabbits. what a shame.

Hello Matt, Looking at the great pics of Plunkett Bks Parade which you posted, my memory needs a bit of help! was the parade ground shared by Connelly and Plunkett, or was all what is shown belong to Plunkett Bks, in the pics it looks like there are two seperate parade grounds, once again really great pics, Ex Tpr Kelly , 1St Armd Sqdn 53/54/55.
