Just got work of the passing of Ex-Cavalry Corps Sergeant Major Mick Galvin who passed away yesterday March 5th in Thurles Co Tipperary.

condolences to the Galvin family on the passing of Mick RIP. There is an article in this weeks Irelands Own on Mick Galvin and his service in the army.

Hi Matt. The photo shows three Calvary Corps men, on their way to check-in their gear, for the trip to the Congo, in July 1960 with the 32nd Batt. (l-r) James (Ginger) O'Connor RIP, (Advance party 32nd Batt). Peter (Poppy) Duignam RIP and Mick Galvin RIP. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Mick Galvin rip, he was the last remaining of the three friends who served with the 32nd. The picture was taken opposite Maginns shop. knew mr galvin as we called him growing up,best mate pat galvin r.i.p. wish to send my condolences to family, may he rest in peace.
