Hi to Matt and a huge thank you to Philip, Just finished looking at those wonderful photos really great to see the camp as we knew it and all the old buildings. So a big thank you Philip for sharing them with the rest of us. Does anyone know who the people are? It'd be lovely to put names to the faces. Bye for Now MaryF

Hi Joan,
I'm so pleased you remember me and my family. I lived in England for 15 years then went off to Australia and stayed there for 16 years now back in England and enjoying it. The site set up by Matt is just great, love to read all the posts and it brings back so many happy memories of living in McDonagh.
Take care.
Eileen

Hi Matt,
Just been looking at latest photo's, sent in by Philip. Apart from the one of my brother Micheal and Paddy Troy I don't really know anyone else in the photo's. I do recognise most of the Buildings, it is great to see my old house in W/O in Clark where I lived in the latter years before moving to Newbridge. Thanks so much for the memories
Trish.

Hi Maura,
I am trying to get Mag to join, she has a laptop at home but never uses it. I am sure in time she will get back into it. I told her I was in touch with yourself and Carmel she said to give you her regards. Seeing all the photo's brings back a lot of memories,I have not been back in the Curragh in about twenty years, you would think iI lived a million miles away I hope to go up soon and see you all.
Trish.

Hi Anthony and all, Anthony I was thinking along the same lines looking at the pile of turf and an image of the old go-cars being loaded up flashed through my mind and memories of snatch and grab and running like a wild hare back home to the coal hole, came flooding back. Mind you our good friends Joey and Johnny were like steeple chasers on the weekly coal/turf runs never could keep up with those two young guns. but the home fires were always burning away merrily on the nights after the weekly deliveries. Toast galore and topping up the old ABC's patterns on the old rump and the back of the legs MaryF

Hi Andy. I know the poor little sods would get wet and cold and i bet lots of kind folks would take them in and warm them up out of kindness.I think you'd call that sods law. Com Ant. Beddy Byes.
