We are doing a family tree and found out our Grandfather was interned in the Curragh Camp around 1942. Do you know how we would find out why he was interned or who to caontact.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Deirdre Thank you for visiting the site and posting your query. All I can say is contact the Military Archives in Dublin and they will have the information you are looking for. I was there this time last year and there was some students doing some research into the Interment Camps on the Curragh. The officer in charge is a genuinely nice guy and very approachable. I have placed the link below and this will give you the postal address and phone number. Please let us know how you got on. Link: www.curragh.info/contact.htmRegards Matt
