Hi Navangirl1. My father in law Vincent Mulvey was your grand dads best friend. The 2nd Cav. retired members had a mass in Knockmitten, Clondalkin last night at which Vincent placed a candle on the altar in Hugh's memory. He never forgot Hugh, and I know he loves him as a brother. Soldiers never die. They live on in the memory of their colleagues forever.

Hi cilldaraboy, what a really lovely thing to do, it actually gave me a lump in my throat... I never knew him as I was born in 72 (showing my age now lol). I often wonder what he was like as a person, I've heard a few stories of when he was a boy he seemed to be a funny child lol. Can you tell your father in law thanks so much it means a lot that he is remembered. X
