Some photographs from today's annual Cavalry Day celebration in Plunkett Barracks. This year also seen the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Cavalry Corps Memorial Garden (1963 - 2013) . I know that a Curragh History Forum member (Anthony Moore) helped as a young Trooper in the construction of the garden back in 1963. I hope that these photographs bring back some good memories to him and to other Cavalry personnel who read the forum.
And straight I will repair To the Curragh of Kildare For it's there I'll finds tidings of my dear
