Hi Matt, judging by the response I can say without doubt you have the backing of 99% of the forum members to continue your great dedication on the history of the Curragh Camp where most of us were lucky and proud to be a part of. I'm so glad you listened to Dee, Niamh and Pete who mean the world to you, rise above it and continue your good work and put a smile on our faces for another few years. Anne.

Re:Curragh History Forum News Hi all it is with regret and disdain that i read that somone would threaten to destroy what has become a source of great joy and happiness to us all us being the many users and lookers in onto the forum both members and guests of whom have enjoyed and have got excellent use and help from Matt through the Site and because somone decides that they can be stirring it by declaring that their rights have been infringed upon because they have sent foward items or an item to be displayed on an open forum and expect noone to look or read them. horlicks to them i say and in good bristol fashion beley there me harties, Matt keep up the good work as 99% of us are with you and you have both our sympathy and support and trust that in the good job that you are doing all in your own free time and all i can say is well done on the pleasure that you have affoeded us all with this wonderful site to help one another and to make new and old friends, to you sor i say thanks for the memories bye for now Johnny

Hi Matt. I'm sad it entered your mind to close this wonderful site that you have created and tended with such loving care. I know that as Administrator like the Shepherd you got to guide the flock and keep us on the right path. I can't believe what has happened over these photos and to be honest i don,t fully understand it. Why has this individual Mr Self Esteem with his oh so seret snaps came on an open forum and claiming breech of copyright. I suggest he takes his photos and sticks them where the sun don't shine. Then like chuck Berry used to sing go and play with his Ding Aling. I was made most welcome by Matt and his brother Donal on my two visits to the Curragh . I also made contact with Army comrades that i served with nearly 50 years ago. I have contacted fellow Wexford man Derek Rochford through the Curragh website. Our familes were close in our younger days and we both served in Plunkett Bks. I have made friends in London through the Morden Platoon. I'm so glad that Matt who's also served in so many of the World trouble spots in the cause of peace is going to keep my contacts open with those who were born under the shadow and served under the shadow. We all support you Matt without a shadow of doubt . Regards. Ant

Well Matt,
There you have it, a resounding vote of confidence in your ability to monitor, censor, re edit and bar those not complying with the forum rules, and those rules are really simple not lofty high and mighty or complicated ones, but put there for the good order , running and maintenance for all readers and posters, you and you alone are the administrator, one administrator = harmony any more could lead to chaos. If this were not the case this site would have been long gone as it would have being infiltrated with all types of unsavory content as well as malicious content. So best of luck in your continuence of your administration.
Andy

Hi Matt, Glad that your still here, I can't add any more than what has already been said.I had one up setting event on this forum which has curbed my posting. My experience was related to me been involved in a topical debate and when I was returning from a weekend away with my wife i got a call to buy a sunday tabloid which used my debate word for word and it gave the impression that I was interviewed which was never the case. I checked the legality of this and was told if it was on the forum it can be used. I don't think you have to worry about legal action in my opinion. I do not wish to start a debate on this issue or take from your situation.Keep up the good work I get great pleasure from reading the stories of the old folk " Andy and Johnny"

Hi All
I would just like to thank you all again for your support on this matter. However I would now like to close this particular thread as I don’t want it rumbling on forever and tarnishing all the other good threads that appear on the forum from other members.
Thanks again
Matt
