[glow=red,2,300][/glow] Hello Folks, As you can see we have gone to an annual meeting, However I would like to give advanced notice to those living in Blighty and further a field. If you are planning on coming home for Christmas this year you might let me know by Personal message on this forum. I would need to know by the middle of November, so as to set a date in early December for the meeting. I know everybody will be busy in December so will be looking at the first or second week. Another thing while I am at it, could you let me know your thoughts on changing venues to see how it goes. Possible to say Keadeen hotel or Iam open to suggestions. Looking forward to hearing from you Tommy S Replies so far[glow=red,2,300][/glow]Carmel Kearney[glow=red,2,300][/glow] [glow=red,2,300[glow=red,2,300] ]Ellen & Kathy[/glow] Mary F Andy BRose Mc Donagh [glow=red,2,300]Tommy H [/glow] [glow=red,2,300] Johnny Kelly[/glow] Kellyquinn

Hi Tommy,
Kathy and myself are hopeful that we can arrange to be at the next reunion, it will be so lovely to meet up with all our good friends again. Just now will try to get good flights and accommodation, so would be grateful if you could let us know possible dates for the reunion.
Best wishes.
Eileen

Ellen,
Iam hoping anyone living outside Ireland who maybe planning to come home around Christmas time will let me know so I can try and set a date to suit as many as I can. We can leave it until say 13th November to give people a chance to respond. The dilemma is if you leave it to near Christmas most people are to busy with Christmas work parties etc. Is that OK.
Regards
Tommy S

Hi Tommy,
Good idea, get organised early, won't have far to travel myself, but as my shifts are mostly overnights and we get a months rota at a time, need advance notice to request night and following day off (most important) off.
Looking forward already.
Rose.

Andy,Rose No midterm for me Iam afraid, the feckers even dragged me in today. Its hard to accommodate everyone with regard to a meeting (shadodwers slang for session). However I thought I would put it out there especially for anyone thinking of coming home. It would be nice for them to meet up with some of the good people of the curragh. Rose I will give it until 13Th November and then I will just have to name a date and listen to all the excuses, Oh! iam washing my hair that night (and that's just johnny and Joey). Regards Tommy S

Hi Tommy, Thanks for your advance notice for the next sess oops I mean meeting. I'm gutted I won't be able to come(working up till the 16th) with not a hope in hells chance of a pulling a sickie at that particular time but no doubt it'll be a resounding success and I wish ye all well. I personally loved the one in the mess, brought back memories of how things used to be, also its the place where you're most likely to meet up with the regulars, whats left of the good Curragh people who frequent the mess every weekend. I bumped into a good few old neighbours there last year and it was great catching up and reminising of bygone days But no matter what venue is decided on the craic is sure to be mighty because no better people to throw a great 'hoolie' than Shadowers no matter where they may be. Best of Luck MaryF

Mary F, Great to hear from you didn't know you were home just reading your post. people would be forgiven for thinking we lived in the same house at the same time God forgive you. Its an awful pity you will not be home for the meeting whenever it is. I know I speak for all the waterlogged Curragh heads when I say we would love if you could make it, however its not to be, If you are home over the Christmas maybe some of us could hold an emergency meeting some night, sure we will see, as me mother used to say, when I used to ask her for a loan.
Talk to you soon

Hi Carmel,
Always open to suggestions, we will have to come up with a date next weekend so a venue will need to be picked as well.
Thanks for the reply
