Just seen the photos on dropbox, ( soldiers group picture album ) 12 platoon taken 12-2-54, this was taken after passing out parade , I was in 11 platoon and passed out
with them on Mc Donagh parade ground, we also had a photo taken with 11 platoon, if anyone might have a copy of 11 platoon photo I would love to see it.
our 11 platoon Sgt was Martin Ambrose who is in the photo of 12 platoon (4th from right front row),also from 11 platoon Cpl Hughes, also in photo is
Charlie Holmes (2nd front row 7th from right) who I was at school with in Dublin, he was posted to the 3 Btn, I went to the 1st Armd Sqdn
11and 12 platoons were in No2 training Coy I believe, ( Cpl Hughes is 3 from left front row)
Great set of photos you have put up Matt, I am sure many older soldiers will enjoy looking through the albums ,as will the modern lads.
So well done Matt and keep up the great job you are doing for all forum members.
