Hi Matt. I was sent some pictures of the British army on the Curragh. I will send them to you when I've sorted them. One of the pics shows the name, number and address on a postcard, to a soldier stationed on the Curragh in May 1920. Where can I get more information on this person. Regards JohnO'Connor.

Hi John
I am afraid information like that is hard to come by and may cost a few bob through the British Military Archives.
Looking forward to seeing the photos, all the best.
Matt

Hi John I am afraid information like that is hard to come by and may cost a few bob through the British Military Archives. Looking forward to seeing the photos, all the best. Matt Hi Matt. I will pass on that information to my friend in the Isle Of Wight, he may have access to the british military archives. His dad served in the Curragh with the British army before the takeover by the Irish in 1922. He has very little information about his dad's military history and when he discovered I was born and reared in the Curragh Camp he started sending me these pictures or postcards, (which his dad had sent home to his mother in the Isle Of Wight) hoping I could give him some info. Most of the pics sent to me are already featured on the Curragh website picture gallery, I'm sending you this pic showing the view from the rifle range as I've not seen it on the site, How many different Curragh views were used on these postcards. I would love to see the full collection of these cards. The second pic shows the backside of one of these cards showing the makers name etc. While looking through the pictures on the Curragh site I found a great photo in Cavalry Corp in the folder Comet Tank which showed a group standing in front of a tank. My dad James (Ginger) O'Connor was in this group. I was delighted to come on this photo and thank you very much for a great website and fantastic pictures of our history on the Curragh. Regards. John O'Connor. (Ceannt) Attachments:
