to Hi fellow Apprentices, Great to see you communicating on line. Also nice to see guys passing round the booklet on the history of the school. I am lucky to have a copy of it. By the way I am a Golden Oldie----No 2 platoon. Had our 55th anniversary renunion in Killarney last Wed week 19th Sept. Great night, great stories, lots of advice on hip replacements etc. Talked about the night a group of us went out over the Factory roof to see the Royal Showband on their first visit to Mrs Lawlors. Were not allowed out on a Thurs then---dance 10 to3--packed the bed with uniform and got away with it. Larry Byrne from Mullingar told me that the warm-up band on the night was Joe Dolan and the Drifters, never knew that. Keep the reunions going. Regards, petergfarry.
Hi Tony Glad to see that you are still above the Auld Sod, Hope you are keeping well, I see that you are getting flash backs about the Army, and in Particular the Apprentice School in Naas, hope you have not forgotten your old comrades from Depot COE. Regards and Best Wishes to you Joey Kelly. Ex Orderly Room
