to Hi fellow Apprentices, Great to see you communicating on line. Also nice to see guys passing round the booklet on the history of the school. I am lucky to have a copy of it. By the way I am a Golden Oldie----No 2 platoon. Had our 55th anniversary renunion in Killarney last Wed week 19th Sept. Great night, great stories, lots of advice on hip replacements etc. Talked about the night a group of us went out over the Factory roof to see the Royal Showband on their first visit to Mrs Lawlors. Were not allowed out on a Thurs then---dance 10 to3--packed the bed with uniform and got away with it. Larry Byrne from Mullingar told me that the warm-up band on the night was Joe Dolan and the Drifters, never knew that. Keep the reunions going. Regards, petergfarry.
