Hi Jean Stokes, Welcome back, as you can see from your list of School buddies it has been depleted, Fizz Harpur is a Brother In Law of TommyH and he can answer as to his whereabouts, Mick Sinnott is still going well, up to a year ago and is living in England. Gus Reilly is in great form and I meet with him nearly everyday in our office in Ladbrokes, JJ Coy still going strong, and various others. Tim Houlihan was looking for your phone number and Matt might be able to facilitate you there.
Kind Regards
JoeyK

Hi Tim Glad you got back safe, any fish?. By your posting you seem to be telling us that you will be home soon, hope so and hope to meet you when you arrive, let's know the date. Tell Gozzie his little Doggie fostered by Josie is going strong and is great pals with my little Westie(when they stop fighting) must be a Pearse Mc Donagh thing. Talking to Andy Foley today, although saddened by Liams passing he is keeping the good side out. All the best for now. Kelly sends her best wishes. Regards JoeyK

I reckon that the above title is apt.
This afternoon I spent a couple of really good hours in the company of Charlie 004. We have been planning this for a while, there was no rush as the last time we were in one an others company was 1967 when we were garsuns as well as rookies in Mc Donagh, not pookie rookie but the real McCoy Recruits. We met to day in Dublin Charlie having made the short trip from Derry and me being the martyr all the way from here in the bosom of me family up to the big smoke. I was a great meeting with loads of memories from both sides inter spaced with the odd white lie. and of course a few pints to keep the tongues oiled How did this all come about you may ask, well you may and I am going to tell you so I am.
Through this forum the Website that Matt set up brought us back together after all these years as it has done for so many of its forum members and guests in the past and I hope in the future
Andy

Hi Andy, Lovely to hear of yet another reunion of old friends brought about all thanks to Matt. Its a great feeling isn't it? rolling back the years, ye must have had loads of yarns to relive and plenty of laughs about your time as rookies . I bet the time just flew by far to quickly for ye, but the main thing is yet another old friendship rekindled after all those years now thats a wonderful thing. I'm so glad ye enjoyed yerselves. Heres to many more such meeting and get togethers. Bye For Now MaryF

Indeed Mary F,
all hail to Matt for without it meself and the bould Charlie may never have reconnected. As you say time did fly and I had to depart as Joe Luas was waiting to take my weary bones back to Sean Hueston Station so that I could get the choo choo home. I did enjoy the time spent in the company of Charlie and his family and who knows maybe we might be lucky to repeat it but at least we have other means of communicating.
I have said before how useful Forums are i.e
The Dublin one , yielded several first cousins and a host of other kin to add to the family tree. The Antrim one the same, both of these forums also yielded several photo graphs of kin I never knew about or thought lost in the mists of time. Forums especially well run and administrated ones like the 3 mentioned are truly a treasure to have, there are others needless to say that is just an example
Andy
