hi every body or some one could help me on this one.I was sent to the Curragh camp to do my training when I joined the army in 1977my army num was 838047 my it was 4 pin , I'm looking for a photo of my passing out parade from 1977 between April or may of that year. Some names in my platoon- Murt Power from Kilkenny, Mandingo, Smithy and Buster MacNamara from Limerick, donal mahoney from cork .the barracks was McDonagh barracks my passing out parade took pleace in the gym. there was 52 in my platoon would be really greatful if anybody could help.

My father Ted Joyce was in the Irish Army he would have been around 18 years old , I have been sent a old picture of him on his passing out parade taken 8/8/ 48 I was only 7 when he died suddenly he was 30 years old , So as I have really nothing to remember him by and now I’m 67 years old I’d like to find out as much as possible about there grandad

Did you try the military archives they will have your fathers records. The will ask a few questions and you will need to supply proof of who you are etc. that said they are very helpful so give it a go.
