Kathyo.
when you are replying to a post, after you have typed your message under the message box there are 4 small ones
Post reply preview spell check if you click on spell check a new box will open give it a little time, that new box gives you the opportunity to do 2 things ignore button click on that and the word you have typed will stay as you typed it the other button is replace if you click on that it will replace the word you have typed with the new one hope this makes sense to you any how give it a bash when all words are checked click ok and then you are back where you started to post reply

To tell the truth Carmel,
I was going to put it under the picture house but it was burned down. A trip to the flicks now a days with a bunch of kids can be a mighty expensive outing unless one smuggles in the goodies,
don't forget to take off the 3D glasses or you might think Joe has turned into triplets,
Well byeeese byeeeeesee

Ahh the curragh picture house .Had many a good night there ,all those cowboy and kung fu films ,,if i close my eyes i can see and smell the place.Remember flicking the cigarett buts up at the screen, and those filthy toilets. IF only i could spend one more minute there i would cherish it.

my name is frank dowling. i went there 1970 to 1974. i left the curragh to live in carlow. anyone remember david livingston, eddie browne, mark sparrow or willy walshe? or the boxing club with mousey connolly, bursting out the school door at 3 o clock to cross the road to the swimming pool, even though most of us couldnt swim. anyone remember a teacher called mr. boots? i think he was from kerry. would it be possible to organise a reunion? it would be great to meet everyone again.

Hi Peader I am afraid that there is only one Military Band in the whole Army now and it is not stationed in the Curragh. The current band is made up of the remnants of all the bands of the various Commands, now amalgamated into One, and headquartered in the Brugha, the home of the Old ASM. I was once a member of the same establishment in 1965 (Boys Service) and stayed until I was 17, and then joined the regulars. I made some very good friends in the School as we so fondly remembered it as. The reason for the amalgamation was due to the non- recruitment embargo, which I believe will soon be lifted in the case of Bandsmen. So with current wastage due to retirement the numbers dwindled and hence the reason also for there now being only one band. Regards and keep the Old Crotchets and Quavers flying. JKelly

Regarding the instrument Joey played, in the band ASM, naughty naughty of you to ask, I bet you think it was his trumpet!.
