Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone knows if anyone holds archival material on the work of J.F. Church the camp photographer during the 1870s?
I know it's unlikely, but I am hoping that he wasn't just that camp photographer in name, and that there may be records or even plates still held.
Many thanks Andrew

Hi Andrew The name J.F Church appears from time to time on images sent to me over the years and I have seen his work on other sites while looking for old photographs of the Curragh Camp. Although it is not on this studio stamp on the following photograph I have seen one where it shows he had a studio in Dublin and this may have been his main studio. There are no records or images on file in the Curragh Camp that I am aware of and I would go Dublin direction in searching for information on J.F Church as there may be records there. Hi Matt,
Many thanks.
I thought the chances were slim that he'd actually be attached to the camp.
I will follow you advice and look towards Dublin.
Best wishes Andrew
