Hi All,
You will notice if you go back on my posts that I declared that "I am not the brightest star in the sky" Well to be sure to be sure this was brought home to me once again on Saturday night past, I headed off to a surprise birthday party for a friend only to discover it was for ,yes your right, muggins. Now you would think that a veteran of 60 tender years, would know better, especially after being trapped in the same way when I was sharper, at 50, but no history does seem to repeat itself.
Needless to say I had a great night surrounded by those dear to me, a usual there were thoughts in retrospect of others that might have being invited, whom I would have had great pleasure in seeing but it is not always easy to get things perfect.
As I said I had a humdinger of a night, and twas great to meet with some people I had not being in contact with in years even though they were but a few miles away, how we seem to drift apart, no matter the reuniting is good.
To all who sent good wishes for my birthday I do thank you, and Johnny don't be parking the car outside of the venue of the surprise party. I think that you are from the same constellation as myself.
again thank you for your kind wishes, now I am away to burn the toast for the beautiful Patricia who I trapped into marrying me 39 years ago this very day.
This weekend has evoked a lot of memories in my good self,
I will be back on the air properly when the festivities are over.
Thanks all
Andy
oops well done to the Kildare team whoooooooo hoooooooooooo

Hi Andy and all Andy my good friend so sorry I could not make your party having been invited, I had another party on Friday night and the auld body is taking it's time to recover from these of late. Any how welcome to the 60s club, I know you had a whale of a time and I will buy you one the next time we meet. Well done to the Lillies on Sunday, I have waited a long time to see Kildare play football like that, I am afraid I celebrated a bit on Sunday night also. Up the Lillies, Up the Curragh and Up Pearse!.
Regards JoeyK
