Hi Patrick Gannon next time you have your camera in the camp could you take a snap of the old light fixture on the wall at Plunkett Billets almost opposite the Churchill Tank before they are consigned to the scrap heap. Andy

Fair dews to you Patrick yes thats them when I was a lad living on the camp they would illuminate the area with a single bulb inserted, also in the arch of the doorway the sloped area these were also used as slides'

Hi ALL Well done Ghosty dab hand with the camera.First photo noticed the bin none of them when we were young it was the big steel ones at the end of the houses rem them? Second photo i see you were not alone check out the orb spooky or what. Andy also rem sliding on them they look very small now or maybe its the fact that we got bigger.Looking at the windows they look out of place were better with the old sash windows although most of them needed something wedged in them to keep them open. Hi Geraldine, no draught with those window's,a job well done by John & Richard Ruth my first cousin's from Kilkenny. John was in the army years ago,but left to go into his own business. I have to admit i do like the old stuff, those light's bring back memories Cheer's Ann Delahunt Culhane
