Hi People, I would like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers expressed over my family's tragic loss. They were all very much appreciated. Though the loss was great life must go on . We can always remember the beautiful memories of him. Also thanks for the info and pictures of the sentry's image sent in. My eldest son is stationed in the Curragh and said he passes down by Plunket Bks. every day and he still dosen't know where that image is.. I would love to hear of any more interesting bits of info about things like that. For instance , where is the railway in the curragh. I think it had something to do with getting ammo down to the ranges. Anybody know anything about this. Look forward to hearing from you all. Drylander

Hi Martin I rember been down in the butts on the range and pointing to bulls inners outers and mag pies. When we were down there they hit the bank the mud and bits flying over head.I think we used to change the targets and pull them up by rope and pulley. We had a long piece of 2 by 2 with a circler piece of ply for pointing to the targets. The rail ran right down to the butts???That was about 48yrs ago. Cheers Anthony
