HI,
I am writing a fiction book set during The Emergency (WW2.) Part of my scenes will take place in The Curragh when the German and British were interneed. I would like to speak to someone with knowledge of this time. The museum is still closed, but I have spoken to Reggie Darling and a local historian in Kildare.
It is a fascinating story I have numerous books on the subject and want to be accurate with details as possible
Wondering if anyone else have a good historical knowledge of this time?
The book will be a friendship (not at all romantic) between a young girl and a German internee in the camp.
I do have a publishing deal on this and working with Words Ireland (Arts Office)
I have to tried to contact Martin Malone as told he is an expert, but can't. Would anyone have a contact who my be an expert in the field
Many thanks
Eimear Lawlor
