Hi Anita, don't remember back to the 70's but it was probably the 90's, Power's lived in 18, Kavanagh's lived in 28. Byrne's in the house before the ball alley, don't know the no, think it might have been 5.

Hey Aishling, You're showing my age now ha ha!! Ken actually lived in no.6 before Ann Byrne. I remember so well dropping in clothes for your Mum to alter. She was famous as a seamstress and never failed to do a top notch job. Does she still do it??? What you doing with yourself these days??? Isn't it Gas,..... I'm in & out of the curragh every day as my parents are still there & we never meet.

hi poncho Matt's list is accurate, so I think you may have the year (69) you posted wrong, as some names you mentioned, in particular Kearneys no.13 did not move there until about 76.

My family lived in O'Higgins tce at one stage. Number 20 I think. They moved to Athlone when 4th fd signals transfered there. That was in 1959. I came along a few years later in 1963. Anyone remember them? Sean and Maureen Brennan? They had 4 children while living in the Curragh. Breda - John - Mary and Michael. My dad Sean died in 1978, but my mam is still with us. She is 82 now god bless her. She remembers the web - master of this site and his family very well. Be nice to hear any old stories...Regards - Paul Brennan, 4th Fd CIS, Custume Bks, Athlone. PS. The site has come on fantastic since the last time I was here - well done Matt.
