Some photographs from today's annual Cavalry Day celebration in Plunkett Barracks. This year also seen the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Cavalry Corps Memorial Garden (1963 - 2013) . I know that a Curragh History Forum member (Anthony Moore) helped as a young Trooper in the construction of the garden back in 1963. I hope that these photographs bring back some good memories to him and to other Cavalry personnel who read the forum. Matt

Great snaps as usual Matt,
It was great to meet up with some of the auld sweats, pity was I had not more time to press the flesh.
Did you come across Ned or Kelly 67 would liked to have shook their hands.
Anthony could not make it this year.
Thanks to Dan W for the timely text to refresh this old memory of the day.

Matt,
Enjoyed reading the bit of history that goes with the snaps, did note the shape of the Glengarry years ago but now a bit wiser.
