The death has occurred of the late Sgt. Jim Carton, Ex- Military Police Corps and Army Ranger Wing. Anybody who had the pleasure of knowing Jim will agree that he was one of life's gentlemen. He was one of the finest soldiers to have served in the army and was an inspiration to many, to both Officers and follow NCO's and men. His enthusiasm in the formation of the Army Ranger Wing in the early 1980's has given the unit some of it's finest quality's which can still be found there today. RIP Jim Matt McNamara and Family Newbridge

Jim may you rest in peace.
Had the pleasure of being put through my paces by Jim in the P.E hall in McDonagh in 1967 am sure Charlie 004 and Joe003 will also remember, even back then Jim was a nice guy, nothing changed.

Well I remember Jim Carton from those days at McDonagh. As Andy said, took over our P.E. and was such a nice guy he made P.E. almost fun. "Don't stand there with your arms folded, you'll grow......." May Jim rest in Peace. Charlie004.

Charlie ,
Jim used to tell us not to cross our arms as we would get women's breasts, oh happy days when we were all fit as fiddles.
