I would like to add some recently found information to my previous message. I'm not sure which racing Lodge Charles Parkinson was associated with, however his son Joe Parkinson (my uncle) was a well known Hunt Jockey with Coburg Lodge. I have a photo of Joe on Bally Hopeful in 1939. I know it's a few years ago, but maybe it will jog some memories. Of course any other information on Joe would also be welcome.

Coubourg Lodge---appears on page 29 of 'The Racing Lodges of the Curragh' which was published by a Guy St. John Williams in 1977.
It mentions that a Joe Parkinson lived there and rode the horse Pontet. It also says that he is no relation to J.J. Parkinson, another man who trained on the Curragh for a long time. No more information unfortunately.
My family lived for many years in a house on theAthgarvan side of The Curragh.
Regards, johnny mallick
