Waltzing Matilda,.
Very sad but true waltzing Matilda,.
As long as it's old age that carries them off, and they go knowing they were loved while on this earth and will be remembered by them that are left behind. i also think as long as there are forums such as this , there will be lots of memories and stories about them to be yet asked, and told. From present, to the future from the ones not yet born, curiosity is a powerful stimulant. And what more can you ask. That's my take on it , right or wrong.
Edward.

Just wondering if anybody would have any information or Know my father RM Harry Neary (Collins barracks) 1960-1972. Congo service 1960-1961 34th battalion. I think he Was transferred from 2nd & 5th battalion. Anything would be appreciated. He passed away in 2010 & I would love to find out more about his military service. He was awarded UN service medal in 1961. He was from Phil shanahan house, north wall. Dublin. Also lived in cabra. Thanks in advance.
