Hi Andy and Maura,
Regarding the Kearney's of Ceannt, Mary their mam r.i.p. was my mams sister, they had seven children Joan, Marie, Phyllis. Eva r.i.p. Geraldine r.i.p. Jimmy r.i.p. and Thomas. Joan lives not too far from me here in Kilkenny marie lives in Naas Phyllis in Dublin and Thomas in Kildare not sure where. I see Joan occasionally, but I have not seen the others for ages.

Trish S,
For the life of me I can only remember Jimmy with his Leo Sayer Hair Style , long before Leo had it and Eva who looked like her mother, may they all rest in peace.
The rest of the family I have no recollection of at all.
Strange the way the auld memory works, but it is the same with other families where I remember some but not others.

Hi Andy.
You probably remember Jimmy from the band the Good Intentions, they used to play every Sunday afternoon in a Hall I can't remember was it McDermot or Clark?. Jimmy R.i.p. is buried in the grave next to my sister Bernadette in Newbridge. Sometimes my mam and I sit and chat about the Curragh and all the Families who lived there, she has a better memory than I have. I find this forum a great help for jogging the old memory, so long may it last.

Hi Johnny.
I hope you have a great time in the Castle, walking the Corgi's and cleaning up their royal Poo but don't worry it will have a nicer fragrance than that of our common dogs here. So on a serious note have a brilliant time in the UK and give my regards to Mary Farrell Take care,
Trish.

Trish S,
As I live and breath I cannot remember the band good intentions in spite of it being mentioned several times on the forum. Back then in the good old care free days bands were as common as fleas on a dog, everyone wanted to be in one, set up one or manage one God we were full of dreams and we knew no boundaries to our dreams or ambitions, the next best thing to being part of a band was to be a disc jockey and failing that at least be dressed of the times that were in it. The hall / hut you mention on those Sunday afternoons was to best of this auld memory Clarke.
I do remember knocking round with Jimmy at times back then and remember Eva quite well as we often had a chat in Dunne's stores when shopping.
I will have a look out for Jimmy's grave next time I am visiting me mammy in there, May they all rest in peace.

Andy,
I cannot believe you don't remember the Good Intentions, they did a lot of Mick Jagger numbers if I remember rightly. Very good they were too, for some reason or other when I hear them mentioned I always think of Billy Dignam RIP and the Sunday afternoon hops in Clarke.

Bands Rose,
I explained badly.
I do remember bands playing in the Camp at different locations, I just do not remember the names or who was in which.
I remember the following being in bands but who was where no.
Jimmy Kearney, Scobie, Tommy Mills, BOC, Paddy Sullivan I know there were more but thats the auld memory for you.
And Scobie and Tony Lumston stick out as the disc jockey's, and I know that there were more as they have being mentioned by others
