Hi Andy My Mam sent for a set of delph with the green shield stamps, waited about 3 weeks and the most beautiful Royal Tara china tea set arrived. The pattern is Bird and Fruit, she waited and waited on some correspondance from them [no phones] anyway she gave it to me some years later. It now has pride of place on my dresser. Hi All The Tea set to which my sister Anne refers is indeed a Royal Tara Tea Set called Bird and Fruit for obvious reasons on the pattern. My mother had sent off her Green Shield Stamps Books for a different Tea Set and after a few weeks to her surprise a Royal Tara Set arrived. She waited weeks for contact from Green Shield Stamps to say that they had sent out the much more valuable Tea Set in error, but they never did Anyhow 30+ years later they still haven’t made contact and the Tea Set now on proud display in my sisters Anne’s house. Hi Teresa
There is a technical issue with the web hosting service I use in the US. I was on to them on Friday and they assured me that it would be fixed by Friday night, but this as you can see is not the case and phoning the US and being put on hold can be quite frustrating. I am hoping all will be back tomorrow at the latest.
Sorry about that, but there is not a whole lot I can do from here.
Best Regards
Matt

Hi Andy, Tuthills was where we got our Green Shield stamps too, Gaye McNamara worked there on the check out a Shadower like ourselves, can remember going up to Dublin once to the shop, very sparse kind of like Argos, a few items on display you handed in your books and they brought it out to you, your right you sent off for them in the post. Green Shield stamps got me into hot water once, playing post office, pretending to be Paddy Costigan handing them out to my friends. Rose. My mum worked in Tuthills, in Newbridge with Gaye and Sandra. Is anyone in contact with them as I would love to make contact My mums name - Claire Delahunt
