Hello,
I am looking for any tracks proving polish existence in Ireland in XX th century. During II WW when Poland was allied with UK many Polish served in RAF fighting against Germans. Very few of them found themselves for some reason on Irish soil and brought up to the Curragh Camp as an internees.
My question is: Does anyone knows how to get their names and find out their story?
I would really appreciate for any information regarding this matter.
Thanks,

Hi Vis Any records of internees held in Ireland and in general at K-Lines The Curragh Camp are held in the Irish Defence Forces Military Archives in Dublin. It would be advised to make contact with them first as their resources are limited and you must get an appointment to use their reading room. But I have no doubt they have plenty of information and all log books of internees in and out during their stay here in Ireland. The following link to the Military archives will give you a phone number and postal address. Please be advised they are extremely busy at times and my take time to contact them. I hope this is of some help to you. Archive Information www.curragh.info/contact.htmMatt

The names of all Polish personnel who landed in ireland during the war and were interned or released are listed on my website. ww2irishaviation.com/Lots of stories there of Allied internees but mainly of the later war aircrew that were not interned
