Michael Your Nanny, Nancy also known with affection I might add as Fag Ash, ran the wet canteen, I worked under her for a while in 65. A good worker and a nice woman, slim woman curly or permed hair back then and the fag dangling from her mouth. Photo of the wet canteen and house attached with the pink shuttering is where your grand parents lived with their children back then. Afraid that is as much as I remember as well as what Johnny added.

Hi again Michael Your uncle Liam cowely is still working in the Curragh Camp with the BFW, and has the same soft spoken manner of your late Grandfather Jim, I also kned your dad very well and we both played for Kildare Town soccer club in the late 70s. I meet with I think may be a brother of yours jim bob? whom lives in the Ballitore area in co kildare he was the manager of a u 17 soccer team and i would have met him in my role as a referee in the past couple of seasons. I dont know of anyone whom could say abad word about your grandparents as they were of good stock and the most obligeing and helpful of folk that you could meet. ps your late grand father was a member of a very good army tug of war team that won manys an all army tug of war title in the 60s. keep well. young man bye for now Johnny
